A beautiful blue sky, elegant crashing waves, and a rocky coastline under a warm California sun is what the Orange County lifestyle is all about. In addition to the natural coastline, beauty, and associated water activities, we also have amazing golf courses, desert terrain and even snow-topped mountains in winter. A little something for everyone!
For those that want to explore “So Cal” as we Californians call it, The City of Newport Beach and sister city, Newport Coast are the ideal place to start. Centrally located between Los Angeles and San Diego you can explore a lot by making this your home base. My favorite resort to call home in the comfort of your own personal villa is The Resort at Pelican Hill. Perched along the rolling hills of Newport Coast, it offers expansive and majestic views of the Pacific Ocean, and in many cases overlooks the famed 36-hole golf course designed by Tom Fabio. This 5-star resort has all the amenities set for a king with a casual, relaxed-elegant feel. Although hotel rooms, which are called bungalows, are warm and welcoming, the prized accommodations are the resort’s villas. Depending on the size of your group you can choose a 2-bedroom/2 bath at 2,195 square foot villa with a 1-car garage, a 3-bedroom/3 bath 2,575 square foot with 2-car garage, or a 4-bedroom/4 bath with 3,580 square foot with 2-car garage. There’s no place like home, right? In addition to spectacular accommodations, you also have access to full hotel service and amenities, plus a butler, so it’s actually even better than home! When you want to go to the beach, your butler will drop you off with chairs, umbrellas and a packed lunch! Wednesday thru Saturday you can participate in a scrumptious epicurean experience by creating a 2-course pasta lunch, and afterward, savor every bite. Couples at Pelican Hill savor special wine dinners; dads love Sunday football, and the ladies enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea. Just a few of the various special events consistently available to guests. It almost feels like your own private country club!
Condé Nast recently gave Pelican Hill the award for Best Spa in California, and Forbes honored the resort with a 5-star rating for its 6th consecutive year.
Our clients rave about spending time at the Coliseum pool or playing golf while their children enjoy the many activities of the kids club at Camp Pelican; and they love the amazing large vacation “homes” which consistently provide relaxation and family bonding unlike anything ever experienced before. Even mom’s who typically don’t like to cook at home on a regular basis have found inspiration in their villa kitchens, because someone does the grocery shopping – and the dishes – for them! Families can dine together without all the rushed schedules of their daily routine, and enjoy playing board games by the fireplace or watching a movie together. If no one feels like cooking but you still want that relaxed dinner feel, guests can always order a simple or gourmet dinner from room service! So much to do on site at this magnificent resort as well as its surrounding locations. It will require more than one visit to experience it all!0
