Known as the City of Art, Light and Activity, Provence is a year-round optimal destination. King Rene’ who ruled during Aix’s golden age (1408-80), brought art, theatre, literature and the muscat grape. Today you can visit Chateauneuf-du-Pape where French vineyards started 2,600 years ago! The Southeastern French gastronomy of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur has an alluring Mediterranean flare featuring recipes with hot spices and seafoods, and the Herbes de Provence are the spirit of Beyond’s Provencal recipes. Those who prefer to be outdoors will find the options vast and breathtaking. From ballooning, bungee jumping and hang gliding, to cycling, diving and spelunking, the options are endless. While sight-seeing consider tours of the Abbeys and Chapels, Bridges and Dams and of course, the museums and ruins.
