What is a luxury access company?
Simply put - It is an exclusive rental and trade company with extensive services including integrated personal travel.
This is not a timeshare exchange company, a home swap company, a traditional vacation rental agency, a destination company and/or fractional/private residence club. This is a unique opportunity for private owners of luxury products to access a select group of distinguished travelers and vice-versa for their elite products. Our Luxury Access Company provides this opportunity through a professionally managed team that allows discretion and simplicity without the need for owners to be directly involved. Our systems and management program allows Private Trade Winds to be one source to distinguished travelers and luxury vacation homeowners for all their travel needs.
What types of products are considered luxury assets?
Luxury homes, condominiums, yachts, residential cruise line cabins, sporting company box seats, prime theater tickets, and fractional interest ownership in vacation real estate, aircraft, yachts, cars, and RVs. Basically, any luxury asset that meets our high standards and is professionally managed could be considered for our rental and trade program. Our current focus is on expanding our real estate and yacht products.
How do I benefit if I do not own a luxury product?
Distinguished travelers without a luxury product are welcomed to unlimited access to all assets available for rent. All trading is reserved exclusively for vacation homeowners who participate in the trade program. Through a structured demand balancing system we monitor the needs of all of our clients against our inventory to maximize availability.
How do I qualify to rent or trade in the program?
Clients with and without luxury products are qualified in a similar manner through a discreet and confidential application process. Clients without a luxury product do not need product qualification; therefore client services can be activated as quickly as 48 hours. Clients with luxury products have an additional qualification process for their product(s) to ensure our high standards are met. Annual fees vary depending on the type of service contract you choose.
Do I have to participate in both the rental and trade program if I have a luxury asset?
You have full flexibility to either rent, trade, rent and trade or participate only as a discerning traveler. We prefer that you participate in both the rental and trade program to maximize your benefits.
What are the benefits of trading?
Trading allows you to take trapped value in your luxury product and use it for countless other personal vacations or leisure opportunities. Since there are no exchange fees, it’s like going on vacation for free and maximizing the use of your luxury investment. Trading is also valuable when you have guests and need extra space in your community. Trading can also allow use of multiple properties at the same location.
Do I need to know other clients in order to trade with? Who facilitates the trade?
No, you do not need to know another client to trade. Although we consider these private trades, we take the designated time allocations you give us and place them in a centralized system that allows everyone participating to have equal access. We then take your vacation request and match them together or search for your desired location.
What makes Private Trade Winds different from other rental programs?

Since our business model is not centered on rental fees, we are very selective in the villas or assets we choose for our program. Properties must meet a strict criteria and be certified with our branded products so travelers are guaranteed the same standard in every home. |

We do not charge you a rental fee unless you want us to handle all aspects of your rental management; however, a small marketing fee is paid to our travel agents for bookings. |

We qualify our clients to a higher standard who have an appreciation for quality and true luxury. We rent to a very select group of individuals. We do not rent to the open market. |
